this weekend:

went to the cotillion that angela danced in.  sweet 16s are an interesting thing.  honestly, what have we done before when we were 16?  … first you think, sophomore in high school (for me junior)?  definitely not much.  but then again - the girl who had the party already has a 3rd degree black belt.  i remember i was already a pretty good swimmer .. committed in serving the Lord.. perhaps we all had a little more to show for ourselves?

$10,000 party worth?  mmm…

then went to the cherry blossom festival with the fam.  dad drove around for TWO hours without finding parking :(  dang dude.  but

I GOT A KOKESHI DOLL FINALLY!!!! :D

Aren’t they cute?  Thanks Kokeshi Designs.  I picked the elderly couple because they remember of Nanay & Tatay, who I would like to think watch over me (Tatay from Heaven, definitely).

The sakura matsuri itself though - I was kinda disappointed.  There were extremely rude people who wouldn’t let my family through.  “This is not an exit from the parade, please find somewhere else to go.”  “EXCUSE ME — YOURE IN AN INTERSECTION THIS IS AN EXIT.”  Thank goodness I held my temper otherwise I would have punched a white man in the face.

VCU Culture Show

Nice show. I didn’t realize how many fourth years in FACT that I know until I watched that slideshow and I genuinely got so sad.  Congratulations to all of you on your last culture show!  (& Candice I want those pics).

FUN After party too! My first party at a different school (unless you count The Office heh).  But I had a lot of fun.  Hooraaayy.
